Anu Malhotra’s SOUL SURVIVORS is a profoundly valuable work of photographs, film, reportage, writings, a book of photography, fabrics, utensils, jewellery, weapons, artifacts and more. To say something is “big” means that its importance elevates above the din of all else that’s happening – on the daily! – in the sensory-overload-bender of our ongoing emergency-on-planet-Earth. “Big” in our times has to prove itself with authentic substance of spirit in our collective humanity, big of hope, pride, faith and big of heart. This, the Farmers Protests in India, is BIG. And it’s getting bigger by the day.
